Reduced Intensity First and Second Heart Sounds Auscultation Lesson with Recordings

Virtual Auscultation

The patient's position is supine.

Patients who are obese or have emphysema will often have diminished heart sounds. Hearing these greatly reduced intensity sounds can take practice.
